Stephanie + Bryan / The Avalon and A Sunset Engagement

The Avalon Grass Field Engagement Portraits_0038.jpg

Our next bride, Stephanie, is quite special to us in many ways... Can't believe that we're saying this, but we have been knowing her since she was little.  Like really little!  Through our church, we got to know her amazing family.... and to this day, we admire them so much.  Well, one day, Stephanie was all grown up and started working at the same church that we used to.  Craig and Stephanie worked in the same department for a few years.  During those years, she was one of our second shooters!  About five years ago when our youngest was just a baby, it was rare that I went to any of our shoots... well, because I couldn't.  With a newborn and two other kids, it was always best for me to be home and take care of them.  As much as I wanted to shoot, that was the best thing for our family during that season.  Stephanie was so dependable and one great photographer.  I remember Steph and I having to drive to one wedding together, and I just loved our conversations.  Fast forward to the end of 2017... her mom contacts us to let us know that Stephanie + Bryan are engaged!  WHAT?!!!!  When did this happen?  How did this happened?  Wait, what?  What did I just read?  I literally kept making sure that this was THE stephanie that we know.  It was and we were absolutely happy for these two!  Bryan doesn't live here, so during the consultation, we used FaceTime to video chat with him.  I've never met him before, so I was curious as to who this guys was!  Just as expected, he was the kindest guy ever... we got hear their story a little there and it was the sweetest thing.  Thank God for technology, riiiight?  Stephanie's mom is helping so much with the wedding, and as our meeting was going on, I couldn't help but wonder how proud her mom must be.  They have such a great mother-daughter relationship, and I hope that we will be able to share moments like these with our kids too in the future.  After they gave us the honor of being their photographers officially, we went right to business and got their engagement session all planned out.  When their shoot day finally came, weather was acting all weird and kept confusing us, but it was a success!  Although it was freeeeeeezing cold, there was no rain in sight, so that was good!  You see, Bryan was visiting from out of town for the holidays, so we were limited on which day we could shoot.  We couldn't have a plan B!  One thing that I couldn't help but notice was how much Stephanie laughed during the shoot.  Really, as cheesy as it may sound, Bryan's love for her literally made her face glow and giggles that I've never heard from this lady was heard.  They are the cutest love birds!!  We were so happy for them... Bryan was such a gentleman towards her and a fun guy to hang out with.  She laughed at everything he said and that was very contagious, so yeah, we all laughed for three hours together!  :)  Stephanie + Bryan, what an incredible season of life you guys are in!  We hope that those smiles and laughter never fade... that your relationship will only grow from here and that it gets better each day.  You guys are perfect for one another and we hope that through these photos, you'll be able to realize that what God has give you truly is beautiful.  Thank you for giving us the opportunity to share this season with you.  See you soon on your wedding day!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
