Have you heard, “When you know, you know?” I have no doubt that that’s exactly what Ashley + Jamal have felt when they knew that each other was the one for them. But, when it’s God telling you that “he’s the one” or “she’s the one”, it’s a sense of peace that nothing in this world could ever describe.
Anniversary portraits are becoming “a thing” more and more, and I love that! Susana + Arif contacted us about their 25 years of marriage, and my jaw just dropped. We have been shooting their family portraits and other special events for many years now, but to think that they’re now married for 25 years was unbelievable!
Someone’s countenance says so much about that person, doesn’t it? The moment that you see them, you can sense what kind of mood they’re in and know how to approach them. By someone’s eyes, you can sense their emotion immediately and know what they’re feeling. It’s amazing what our face and body language say without our mouths even speaking a word. Erin + Ben have the sweetest countenance.
Through our business, I had to learn to adapt to many things that I’m naturally not comfortable with. Being adventurous was something I was never interested in until I married Craig and we ventured into photography. But now, adventurous is my middle name! It’s pretty amazing to me how you can really learn to love something and change your “nature”.
I think we all have been speaking enough about 2020 sarcastically enough, so how about we begin this blog post by all the good things that happened in 2020? Because the fact is, a lot of wonderful things have happened this year too, hasn’t it? For us, one of the most memorable weddings has been Dede + Jason’s for many reasons.
