Katherine + Aaron / The Manor Golf and Country Club Georgia Wedding

“Sometimes things don’t go as planned….” That’s something I think we have all learned in the last few months, haven’t we? We all had to adjust and adapt. For some of us, it’s really been a struggle and for some of us, it was a great time of rest and a time to appreciate the little things in life. However you were affected, the fact is… we’ve all been somehow affected by the infamous Rona. Some businesses have thrived during this season and some faced challenges. For us, we at times wondered what would happen to our business as wedding cancellations slowly but surely started coming in one by one. But, just like anything else in life, we had a choice. A choice to still see the bright side and a choice to still praise God regardless of our situation and to know that He has everything under control. When Georgia officially shut down, it was a shock. As much as I thought that it may and should happen, it was unbelievable when it actually did. After the shock settled in, I remember thinking, “OMG! Katherine + Aaron’s wedding!” Their wedding was only a couple of weeks away, and my heart just broke. I started realizing the impact this was having on people’s lives emotionally. Wedding planning is already stressful, but who ever plans for a pandemic when planning a wedding, right? Just like the rest of the world, we all didn’t know what to do and how to go about it. We all learned together day by day. Katherine + Aaron had no choice but to postpone their wedding. We all did a conference call, and I remember the disappointment in their voices…. gosh, how devastating. We felt so awful…. as events after events were getting postponed or cancelled, I couldn’t believe how many dreams were literally getting crushed. As we discussed the details of the changes that we all needed to make, I also remember the positive choices that Katherine + Aaron were making too. They chose to still be kind and look at the bright side of things. They chose to work as a team. They chose to not show frustration; instead, show positivity, great attitude and simply smile. In fact, they kept thanking us. They’re so respectful of others, and I adore that about them. As we all couldn’t and still can’t predict the future and the affects of Rona, we still set their date in July hoping and praying that this time, it will happen. Oh, what is there without HOPE?! Because of the gift of hope that God gives us all, we are able to not just survive, but thrive during difficult times. Well, our sweet couple thrived through it all so strong and well and their day finally came. They really knew what it meant to make the best out of what they have, and guys…. they truly had a beautiful wedding. All of their loved ones were there. It was so cute to see Katherine getting the jitters as she was getting ready. As expected, she was beautiful as well as all of her details and yes, especially her dress! Her parents and sister as well as all of Aaron’s family members were all so chill and easy to get along with. Katherine’s dad kept saying sweet things to Craig and I and how we were working hard, and I couldn’t get over how thoughtful it was for him to say those things He even asked if we ate and just kept taking care of us. My dad passed 9 years ago, so that made me miss my dad so much! And oh my gosh… if you know us, you know that we cry at every wedding, right? At this wedding, that moment came during the first dance and especially during the father/daughter and mother/son dances. The song that they chose made it even more emotional…. and then the father spoke. It was over… there were beautiful ‘ugly’ cries everywhere, and it was hard for me to keep it together, but I had to because I had a job to do. The staff, other vendors, the guests… everyone put much effort into making this day safe and took all the precautions that they could which I so appreciated. Regardless of your opinion, we need unity and cooperation and it was great to see everyone working together as a team to make our couple’s day go safely and smoothly, and it did! Even the weather decided to cooperate perfectly and that was a huge relief for everyone especially it being July in Georgia! Katherine + Aaron, you guys define being wedding troopers! YOU DID IT! Bravo again and again…. it's been such a pleasure working with you and creating beautiful memories with you. Your hearts are so big and wonderful and Christ’s light is so easily visible through you. Thank you for being amazing! We hope that you love your photos and that these will allow you to relive your big day over and over again for the rest of your lives.

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
