One of the perks of shooting weddings for us is meeting our clients’ friends there. Having conversations and just getting to meet new people, hearing their stories and simply getting to know them is something we love to do. In 2019, in Augusta, GA at Mimi + John’s wedding, we got to meet Angel. Who knew after more than a year later that she’d contact us via Instagram for her family portraits! Their baby turned one just a couple of month’s before, so this was a special time for this family of three. Because Angel + Rafael are from Augusta, we had to find a location that was mid-way for both of us. Thanks to the beautiful city of Athens, we chose State Botanical Gardens as their location. Have you guys been there? Gosh, it is so beautiful and each season has its own look. Spring of course is stunning with all the blooms, but fall and winter time has their own style too… what’s funny was that the day before their shoot, we met up with our friends there. LOL! So, we were there two days in a row. hehe It’s really near UGA (this park is actually part of UGA and has a lot of educational resources - even for children!), so between those two locations and great hiking trails, there’s so much to do if you need a day of trip! Angel + Rafael had such great style… wish that we were cool looking parents like them! We had such a great time walking around this beautiful garden and had fun getting great shots of a beautiful family. Angel + Rafael, thank you for keeping in touch with us via IG, and we hope that we began an annual tradition with you! Thank you for sharing this special time in your family’s life.
