Sweet 16 // Craig + Unchong // The Hay House in Macon, GA

Sweet 16!  It’s pretty surreal to me that our marriage is 16 years + 2 days old today. There are still times that I can’t believe that we are married let alone have 3 children, a business, and a place where we can call home together. During these 16 years, as any couple would, we have been through so much. Through all the thick and thin however, God graciously was always there. This past year has been a tough one, but God made himself known with His healing and mercies, and we have learned that being completely broken before Him is the best place to be. I’m so proud of us, and I praise God for His Goodness!  Special thanks to our friends who have been through our journey with us as well. You know who you are, and we pray that you’re blessed a thousand fold! This anniversary meant more to us than any other, so how could we not do what we do best… take photos! 😁

We drove down to Macon, GA on our actual anniversary to a stunning, victorian house that Craig found online. I’ve been wanting this style for awhile, and he actually found one! We were so excited to do a shoot here…. the staff was so nice and helpful, and the house was even more beautiful in person. It was a bit overwhelming because there were way too many places to shoot. We paid for just an hour, so we had to quickly make a decision because the clock was ticking fast! I’ve always wanted to do these colors for our outfits, and I just can’t believe how perfectly they looked especially outdoors. Our anniversary is right in between winter and spring, so it’s always this perfect time to print some new spring photos for our home! I’m about to place an order after writing this blog and can’t wait to show you guys what we do with it!

Many people ask us who takes our photos, and it’s the same guy every year… Mr. Tripod. ;) He always delivers! It can be quite a challenge though because there’s a lot of running and back forth with him. Sometimes it can take the pleasure out of the photo shoot, but the challenge keeps us going and afterwards, we are always so fulfilled. Every single time, we wonder how we pulled it off again! LOL! I am one lucky gal to have a husband who is both creative and technical as a photographer. I sound biased, but he really is the best photographer I know… We have this inside joke of how I’m his most difficult client, but I have to admit that I really am. :) I do everything that we don’t want a client to do… like telling him what kind of shot I want, where, what pose, etc…. LOL! But hey, if that’s not a perk of being a photographer’s wife, what is, right? hehe

Our marriage is 16 years old and our business is almost 14 years old…. we mention that because you all have been part of lives for the majority of our journey, and we can’t end this blog post until we say thank you to you. You have no idea how much we appreciate each and every one of you. You have given us a purpose in what we do, you have encouraged us and made our job into a passion. We are grateful… we wouldn’t be here without you, our clients. We truly have the best clientele experience because we have been so blessed to have met the most wonderful group of people. Truly…. from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love and support!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
