Katherine + Jonathan / Ivy Hall & Roswell Mill Engagement Portraits

Did you know? Sometimes, photo shoots can be physically exhausting. I’ll be honest…. before we started this business, I didn’t know how to appreciate models and the ‘crew’ of a set. It just all looked ‘fun’! And, it is fun, but it’s a LOT of work! Now that we’ve done this for many years… we definitely know how to appreciate all the behind the scenes work that goes into a photo/video shoot. We always tell our clients to come to the shoot well rested and hydrated and to make sure to eat! Looking good in front of the camera is much harder than people realize. It’s not just “ok look here and smile!” type of photos… as they say, beauty is pain! Well, Katherine + Jonathan came all ready to go looking amazing! They chose Roswell Mill as their location, and it’s beautiful! We asked her to bring flats to walk from scene to scene because this place requires some hiking. They have a very steep hill that feels like a step machine, but they did it with ease and smiling the entire time. They didn’t complain one bit! They had the most contagious laughter… sometimes, I couldn’t even hear what they were saying, but could hear them laugh and I couldn’t resist joining in. It was such a pleasure meeting our future bride and groom! Katherine’s dream wedding has always been to have one by the water, so she chose Lake Lanier, and we can’t wait to celebrate them next Spring there! Since she’s going to have a lake as her backdrop for her wedding, it was perfect to have a river for her engagement portraits! It makes us so happy to see our couple’s dreams of their big day come true and being part of that is truly an honor. Katherine + Jonathan, thank you for being incredible to work with! We had a great time, and we look forward to seeing you in April!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
