Maryn + Tommy / Lake Lanier Islands Intimate Family Wedding

Have you taken a personality test before? There are many out there, and we had the opportunity to take a couple of classes, and it changed our lives! It changed our marriage! It changed our parenting! It changed our business! It affects everything because relating to people is in everything that we do. Doing these studies really allowed us to understand and love people in ways that they need to be. It made us appreciate the differences instead of criticizing the differences. When Maryn explained to us why she was doing an intimate wedding ceremony, we totally understood the reason why right away. We sensed what was important to her. I too can relate to Maryn because I’m all about small groups and having an intimate setting rather than a huge party. But, some people thrive in big settings, and that’s ok too! It’s just a different preference because we are all wired so uniquely. I think the unique qualities about all of us is what makes this world so beautiful and fun! I encourage you to look into studying personalties for a season if you haven’t already. One we recommend is this book: “I said this, you heard that”.

Even though it was a bit cold, we were so thankful that it didn’t rain and that we could still take our time to photograph our awesome couple near the lake! The water was really low on their wedding day, so some of the rocks that are not exposed usually were there, and it looked epic! We live very near the lake, so we see it all the time, but on Maryn + Tommy’s big day, it gave us a very special look. It was as if we were out in an exotic location! We appreciated the fact that our bride and groom were willing to go out there and stand on rocks to get the shots despite the cold and the wind. The trust that they had in us meant so much! There are many reasons why we love intimate weddings, but one of my fav is getting to know the family members too. They were all so kind and sweet and even offered us food after our coverage time was over. Their care was so genuine. You could really feel the bond between Maryn and her parents as well as Tommy and his. During Maryn and her dad’s first look, it took everything in me to not start bawling. I know our time with our kids on their wedding days will be here before we know it, but gosh… I just can’t imagine how hard that day is going to be for me and Craig. I’m going to need counseling… I know it. And! Our couples’ vows to one another was beyond beautiful. Wow… just wow! Maryn + Tommy, what an honor it was to be there. Thank you so much for reminding us that marriage is a gift and that it’s sacred! You are blessed to have each other and family who dearly loves you. We pray that your blessings increase day by day and that your love for one another continue to grow. May you never forget the vows that were exchanged on this day. Thank you for choosing us to document your most special moment of your lives. We hope that you love all the photos and we can’t wait to see you again at your big celebration in March!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
