Michelle + TJ / The Atrium Norcross Wedding

We often get asked why we do wedding photography over other types of photography out there. There are many reasons, but through Michelle + TJ’s wedding, we were reminded yet again why we love wedding photography so much. Capturing weddings have something that nothing else that we have experienced have…. emotions. The entire day is full of emotions… When you first get there and see the bride getting ready, you can feel the jitters and the bride feeling just a bit anxious and nervous about what’s to happen in a few hours of her life. As she puts her makeup on and gets her hair done, she begins to smile more brightly as she sees herself becoming a bride that she has dreamed of. Then, comes the big moment of wearing THE dress. Usually, the bride says, “Oh, right now?” It’s as if she can’t believe that time is passing by so fast and the day is becoming real. The dress gets on and her friends tear up and then she tears up and then there are so many giggles and we click away so that they’ll remember all those special moments forever. As you click the shutter, you can’t help but smile yourself…. it makes me remember the time when I got to experience it and it makes me tear up wondering what it would be like when it’s our daughters’ turns. Wow…. emotions are so real, but not as real as when the first look time comes and the groom can’t contain his joy as he sees his bride as she slowly approaches him. Michelle was truly drop dead gorgeous and TJ just couldn’t hold it in. I mean, my goodness…. he made everybody cry and yes, including us. It was such a sweet thing to witness and then it doesn’t end there. After the portraits, it’s now ceremony time and you just know when it starts because of the music that begins to play. Yes, the music plays such a big part in our emotions, doesn’t it? It’s no wonder that composers of movies make such big bucks. Well, the groom and his best friends walked in and then it was the bride’s turn. And ya’ll… TJ lost it again. Oh my goodness gracious, and I cried again too. I wanted to give him a hug and the bride a hug as they stood there just crying as emotions took over. These are the moments when so many memories run through your mind. It’s like having your life flash back before your eyes… you think about your childhood, you think about your parents, you think about all the ups and downs of life that you had to journey through to get to this place, this moment. You think about what it took to make this day happen and to realize how much you love the person you’re about to marry. You think about those things and more in a matter of few seconds… it’s a powerful moment and to know that we get to have the honor of capturing those once in a lifetime moment in someone’s life is the most fulfilling thing about our job and yes, that’s why we love wedding photography. Yes, because we love LOVE. Because LOVE is real and LOVE is the greatest gift of all. Because God is LOVE and our purpose in life is to be loved by Him and to love him back. That’s it… that’s all we need. Through this corona virus season, wedding planning has become more difficult than it usually is, but Michelle + TJ fought through it so hard and well, and we are so proud of how they accomplished that challenge gracefully. I can’t imagine the stress that came with all the big and small decisions they had to make, but they did it and it’s over and they’re MARRIED, and we have pictures to prove it! Yes!!!!! Michelle + TJ, you guys are the real deal. You guys are truly AMAZING! We are SO happy for you and what beautiful couple you guys are. It was a joy to be there and to celebrate you and we can’t wait to see the impact that you continue to have to those around you through your beautiful marriage. Thank you for having us and we hope that you love your wedding photos forever!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
