Kate + Kevin / Lake Lanier Sunset Engagement Portraits

Lake Lanier Engagement Portraits Sunset Georgia_0035.jpg

Through our business, I had to learn to adapt to many things that I’m naturally not comfortable with. Being adventurous was something I was never interested in until I married Craig and we ventured into photography. But now, adventurous is my middle name! It’s pretty amazing to me how you can really learn to love something and change your “nature” because of your spouse. You see, Craig’s middle name is “fearless”, so he’s up for anything! I used to hate going outside… I was such a homebody, but it’s totally a different story now. I’m glad because if I stayed the way I used to be, then our kids would never have enough vitamin D from the sun. If it wasn’t for this change, there’s no way I could have been so close to Kate + Kevin’s dogs during the first half of their engagement session. I’m not an animal lover… wait, let me take that back. I do love animals, but I just don’t like interacting with them. Mainly because I’m scared of them. I got bit by two dogs growing up and I can’t help but think that every dog I see would do the same… But, let me tell you! I’ve gotten so much better! Because I pretty much don’t have a choice, I had to learn to at least be ok around them and still get my job done in assisting with the shoot. Kate + Kevin brought three dogs and they were soooooooo cute! Loved how they listened and looked straight into the camera for a few shots. It was cute seeing our couple so in love with these adorable creatures. It’s so neat how a human and dogs can have such a special bond!

We went from one part of Lake Lanier to another. This time, we were going into the water - YAY! Yeah, the old me wouldn’t have NOT liked that either! But now… I LOVE it! We appreciated how Kate + Kevin were so willing to do whatever it took to get the shot. They both got wet up to the knee and even the water was cold, they didn’t complain one bit. Kate grew up on the lake, so it was very sentimental in that sense too… Kat + Kevin, you guys were such a joy to be around. We hope that as your relationship deepens more and more that you both of you will always be willing to change for the other, to adapt for the sake of the other and to be there to serve one another and love beautifully. Blessings to you and we hope to see you guys again when you tie the knot! It’s been great working with you!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
