This week as we were all settling down from our kids going to school and getting adjusted to the new schedule, we had a few serious talks with our kids. The moral of the conversation was this… that we all have our own journey in life. We all have our own story that’s being written. I love the story that Natalye + Myles are writing with their lives. It’s so beautiful in many ways… I admire their positivity and their pure and gentle kindness truly shines through. They’re one the most welcoming and inviting couples we’ve met. It’s really a gift to be able to make anyone feel so at home and like family. There are many wedding stories… We have shot over 500 weddings now and not one of them have been the same. There’s no such thing as a “normal” or “ideal” wedding because they each have their own unique memories. There has never been a “perfect” wedding either. Things happen, as they say, and things happen on wedding days too. We could really relate to Natalye + Myles’s wedding because it rained cats and dogs on our day as well. The difference between ours and theirs was that for us, it NEVER stopped. It seriously rained ALL day and night. We couldn’t get not even one photo outdoors. Sigh… The day before and the day after were amazing! What in the world? So yes, we could relate to the disappointment of a rainy wedding, but what I loved about it the most was that they took it like champs and did it anyway! It was hard for all of us to figure out what the radar was telling us and what we should do. The decision was made to do it, and it poured. And, you know what? That’s ok! Despite all of that, they still smiled, they still cried and felt all the emotions a bride and groom should feel. At that point, who cares what was happening because they were now husband and wife and they were so ready to live their happily ever after! It was such an incredibly beautiful moment. Life will bring things and throw things at you, but it’s our choice as to what we will do with it. It’s our choice as to how we are going to respond to it. I will always be so so so grateful for that freedom of choice that God has given us. He is so good and it is through Him that we can all have the most imperfectly perfect lives together. Natalye + Myles, we are so happy for you. Craig and I sincerely wish you an amazing marriage, and amazing family and an amazing future together. May each day, the good and the bad, be embraced! You guys are obviously so gorgeous, but it is your hearts that are so beautiful. We love you guys!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
