Bolaji + Anthony / Mercedes Benz Stadium & The Bridge Engagement Portraits

Working with Bolaji + Anthony has been such an easy thing to do! We were so happy that they found us on Instagram where we invest a lot of time and effort into meeting our new couples. It always makes us feel that our work there is worthwhile! As business owners, it’s of course great to book new clients, but personally, my favorite part is to be able to meet and connect with new people! And when they are someone like Bolaji + Anthony, it’s extra special. They were so easy going and simply nice! We IMMEDIATELY felt comfortable with them when we started shooting. Laughing is one of my favorite things to do… it really makes life less serious and so much more enjoyable. Sometimes, laughter is the best medicine and so good for the soul. It’s not everyday that you meet someone brand new and you’re able to just laugh together, and I feel like we laughed the entire shoot even with Bolaji’s sister! I cherish moments like that with our couples!

Bolaji + Anthony had a clear vision of what they wanted for their engagement session. For their first location, they wanted to have it at their Airbnb where they renovated it so well! Wow, it was seriously spotless and very well done. It made me want to redo so many things in our own home badly! They have such a great, stylish eye, and it showed in their outfit choices. They knew what color and style fits them well! I think the key to a stylish individual is… no matter what the trend is, they have an eye for what fits their body and personalty well, and they definitely got that on point! I told Bolaji that she looked like an absolute doll, and Anthony looked sharp! Love it when guys are sharp and clean cut! Together, they made such a picture perfect couple… I mean, you guys can just check out the photos for yourselves that will prove my point!

For the second location, we knew we had a challenge… that challenge was the weather, specifically the temps and yup, the rain. Since a few days before their shoot, we all kept checking the forecast to see if we were even going to be able to do it. The rain couldn’t make up its mind and right before we met, we decided to swap the two locations because it decided to come sooner all of a sudden. I appreciated their flexibility and patience as we made last minute changes. I was glad that it was a good call because there was no rain in sight when we got to the Mercedes Benz Stadium! Whew and yay! But, it was very windy and COLD! The temps were in the 40s and for a photo shoot, that’s pretty cold, but you know what? Our sweet couple still kept smiling… still kept laughing… still CHOSE to enjoy this special moment in their lives. You know, you never get these times back. NEVER! As of this weekend, we have now been married for 17 years and that fact has never been so true. So, we encourage our couples to EMBRACE this season. Dating, proposal, engagement, wedding… all of it is so worth embracing and celebrating and documenting. When our couples say things like, “Oh, maybe we can do that another time”, my response is, “trust me… there is no ‘later’” because life keeps on moving and life keeps happening. So, when it’s time to do it, just do it! With some things in life, it’s now or never and anything related to weddings is one of them. So yes, all that to say… I love couples who are so willing to enjoy themselves and make the best out of what they’ve got because that’s what makes life good! No matter what circumstances and obstacles life WILL bring, it’s our choice to see it in a positive or negative perspective. I can tell that our future bride and groom are going to conquer this thing called marriage. I can tell that they know how to push through things, to have GRIT and the courage to keep on. Gosh, I love that! Bolaji + Anthony, thank you for making our world more joyful, brighter and happier. Your love for one another and for life is contagious! Craig and I truly thank you for the precious time you’ve given us to capture the love between you two. It’s quite beautiful, and we can’t wait to see you on the day that you will call each other husband and wife! See you in the summer! Boom baby!

With much love,

Craig + Unchong
