Class. Elegance. Grace. In a world where I feel like these things are fading away, Alice + Tim have shown me that it’s here to stay! They define these words in their poise, posture, countenance, actions and words. When I first met them at their engagement shoot, I sensed this calm from them. Spending the evening with them felt so peaceful and all was well with the world. I have a very strong-willed, feisty personality that when I meet someone like Alice, it inspires me to intentionally be more graceful and gentle. When I found out that I had to miss their wedding, I was completely bummed. There are some clients that you really connect with in a special way and they were one of them. I wanted to be there, but had to take our girl to a tournament out of town. I guess sometimes you just can’t have it all… This wedding was going to be with one of my fav couples, in one of our fav venue with one of our fav planner, Rachel Hart, and of course, my fav lead photographer of all time, my husband. :) OMG! My heart was hurting, but I was so happy that this day arrived for Alice + Tim! I had no doubt that with such a dream team, this wedding was going to flow flawlessly. And, can’t forget to thank our amazing assistants, Maurice and Nick, who helped out tremendously! They always go above and beyond, and we are grateful for them!
Sure enough… when Craig called me on the way home from the wedding, he told all about it~~~~~! He even sent me a few sneak peeks from his camera and I couldn’t help but say, “oooooohhhhh… ahhhhhhhh…” Alice looked drop dead gorgeous and Tim was one dapper groom. It made me miss their wedding even more! Because of their different cultures, they got to do an American ceremony and a Chinese Tea Ceremony which made it all the more special too. We totally get the importance of that because Craig and I are from different countries too! Mixed couples have a special place in our hearts for obvious reasons…
I’m so happy to be seeing all these photos…. I can’t imagine how happy Alice + Tim must feel! This really is yet another reminder why photographs are so important. If it weren’t for these, how would I ever know what went on and how beautiful the day was? How would I be able to see the details of it all? Photography is one of the best technological advancement that our world has ever had, and Craig and I are so honored to be able to call it a job. Creating is something that we love doing and to be able to do it for someone else is one thing, but when they treasure it for a lifetime is another. Not just that, these photographs become a family heirloom for generations and thinking about that literally gives me the goosebumps.
Alice + Tim, these images are proof that your love for one another is truly beautiful. You guys look so happy as you should! It’s been a joy working with you and serving you. We are blessed to call you clients! We pray that your marriage is filled with blessings upon blessings forever and ever!
