What do you think of when you think of a wedding day? The first thing for me is of course the bride and her DRESS! Oh yes… the dress… something a little girl grows up dreaming of wearing. But, it’s more than just the dress; it’s the meaning of it that makes it significant. Over the years, our modern society has made weddings more complicated than it really needs to be. So, sometimes, people associate stress with weddings because of all the detailed planning that goes along with it. Yes, there’s SO MUCH happening on a wedding day. It’s A LOT! There’s so much and so many people to coordinate to make it all flow to make a couple’s day the way they imagined it. We have experienced weddings through hundreds and hundreds of couples, and to us, there are two kinds of couples. Couples that stress during their day and couples that actually enjoy their day. And, Jamila + Jerome were the latter… they knew how to be in their little bubble and not allow anything else distract them from their joy. They didn’t let others or unnecessary details bother and interrupt the experience of their day and for that, we applaud them. It’s so important to constantly remember why you’re there and doing what you’re doing on your big day. Because there’s so many emotions to feel, it’s so important to have strong accountability on a wedding day which should always be your maid of honor or best man who will not be afraid to remind you of those things. Jamila + Jerome did this so well too… they really chose amazing friends to be in their wedding party and received so much love from them. And yes, how can I not mention the fact that our groom graduated from GA Tech? Oh yes…. you know that that’s my alma mater too, so I know that he is one smart man! ;) They love the city, so the rooftop of the Crowne Plaza was the perfect place with a view of the city that they love so much… getting cool night time shots with light writing was important especially to our groom, so we had a wonderful time getting those for them as well. With the endless laughs, this couple was so easy to work with from the beginning to the end. Jamila + Jerome, we appreciate you guys… we truly had a wonderful time celebrating you and we pray that you guys become the happiest family with your sweet, precious son.
