When I received our next couple’s inquiry, this is what was going on in my mind… The form that came in our email said, “Bride: Cherise Washington” and I read the rest of the form. Then, I went back to the email and read it again. I said to myself, “Cherise” then said, “Wait. OMG, Cherise Washington?!”
Oh, Sound of Music… Julie Andrews… Growing up, these were a few of my favorite things. :) (You see what I did there? hehe) I remember watching Sound of Music and Mary Poppins over and over and over again. My mom got me both of the movies on VHS (I hope you know what those are.) and I probably watched those two movies more than a thousand times.
Gosh… some people are just adorable. Some people just have the gift of making you feel “at home” the moment you encounter them. It’s truly a gift, and Leah + Kevin have it! I just love people that make you feel comfortable… being a wedding photographer, I feel that photography in itself is actually a very small part of the business.
So, I remember at the very beginning of our business, someone told us that when you become photographers’ photographer, you know you made it. If that’s true, we are super duper happy and grateful! You see, Jenny is a spectacular photographer herself and quite an artist. Every time we are hired by a colleague, it’s really an honor and means that much more.
Ok just how many wedding venues are there in just the Atlanta area alone? Just when we think we’ve been to all of them, we have to think again! It was our first time at the Engine room and it had such a neat industrial look. I especially loved the outdoor patio area where they had the cocktail hour.
